The Sea Sprite Inn
Jillian finds herself in the middle of a perfect storm of stressful situations. She’s newly divorced, lost her job and now her daughter is leaving for college abroad. When her beloved grandfather has a health crisis, Jillian inherits the responsibility for his dilapidated family beach home. Instead of looking for a way out, she leaps at the chance to reinvent herself.
With the help of some loyal friends and a newly discovered sense of purpose, Jillian begins renovating the old beach house to transform it into a Bed and Breakfast. Under the floorboards, she discovers a mysterious World War II ammo box filled with vintage keepsakes. Each chapter brings new visitors who share their special stories with you and try to help Jillian return the ammo box to its rightful owner.
Guests include a klutzy bargain shopper who hires a local fisherman to help her catch dinner and gets more than she bargained for, a curvy woman who buys a new bathing suit that may (or may not) have some very special properties, a young athlete who is focused on breaking a record and finds a different kind of reward, and a caregiver who searches for lost love , but discovers it was never missing.
Come on in, put your feet up.
Coastal Style Magazine – Nick Brandi
“There is much about The Sea Sprite Inn to recommend it to virtually any reader. First, it demonstrates the flowing prose of a real novelist…The narrative flows fast and is elegantly written without being ponderous, pretentious or too self-aware.
But it’s even more than that. In a world that accepts prurient pulp like Fifty Shades of Grey as something approximating literature, The Sea Sprite Inn is sweet, sentimental and eminently human, without being saccharine or tedious. That the genteel motif of the B&B so perfectly suits the stories of the guests who stay there only adds to the evocative imagery, engendering a tapestry that catalyzes the imagination with snapshots of white, ivy-strewn pickets, lavender and hydrangea.”
“Perfect beach reading…in its imaginative look at the individual guests who visit the Sea Sprite Inn and their interactions with the locals, it is definitely a winner.” – Judge, 2017 Delaware Press Association

The Captain Freeman Inn
This is the perfect lazy day book to relax with on our front porch or at the beach. I actually dropped it in my bubble bath but was able to save for future reads:) I could relate to the story as it was about an innkeeper who decided to repair a family house at Rehoboth Beach. Through trials and tribulations she opens the inn and is captivated with the lives of the guest’s that visit. A very quick, easy read with a reminder for this innkeeper of the many blessing our guests bestow on us.
